This study assesses how third-party digital health apps (those not specifically tied to a diabetes device) impact glycemic control, mental well-being, and BMI. ‍

Given that T1D patients share many of the same comorbidities as T2D patients, doctors have been prescribing them to T1D patients ‘off label’.
